Wow!  Another race down.  Running the Hooters 2 Hooters 10k was definitively a great choice for me.   I can definitively say I enjoyed running that race and better yet, I was able to shave off 3 minutes from my previous time.  I was pretty consistent during this month running three times a week.   My weekly mileage increased from almost 13 miles to 16 miles by the end of the month.

Next on the schedule is the Pretty in Pink 15K in Clearwater.  According to the website, the race course will also be through the Ream Wilson Trail.  However, this will be the first time I run that distance, so I’m not sure how it will go as far as timing.  My goal is to finish it without a walking break.  This is a very important race for me because depending on how I feel after this race I will decide if I’m ready for the 1/2 marathon in November.

From the looks of my calendar it seems I logged almost 60 miles this month!  According to my nike+ account, the last time I ran this much was back in June 2010, I ran 55 miles.  Gotta love technology!  According to my October running schedule I’m suppose to run almost 80 miles this month if I’m going to do the 1/2 marathon in November.  Yikes!  I’ll keep you posted.  For now, I’ll just focus on the 15K.  One race at a time. 🙂

What are your fitness goals for October?

How do you keep track of your fitness schedule?
